Abstract:

When gathering a group of AUVs in a limited area, both the safety of their work and the possibility of participation are necessary. In a group, AUV should be out of the way of the other devices in the very least, but ideally should contribute to completion of the common task. This paper discusses issues related to the parameters of communication systems and positioning of AUVs working in a group to solve a single common task. The paper presents the numerical calculation results of the dependence of the AUV efficiency on the size of the subgroup. An assessment of the delays in data transmission and restructuring of the synchronization method in the group is also given, as well as the possibility to simplify group management in the case under study.
