Computer performance model incorporating CPU speed (with aerodynamics application as an example)

A mathematical model is proposed to describe performance of a uniprocessor computer when solv- ing an aerodynamics problem. The model divides the CPU time into processor time, when a CPU is busy, and memory time, when CPU is waiting for data to be transferred from the memory subsystem - RAM and caches.
