On the problem of reconciling approaches of unduplicated website audience measurement

We apply a newly developed stochastic model to explain a disagreement between online cookie-based and sociological panel-based audience measurements. Our model allows to compute theoretical cumulative curves of website audience, which account for cookie deletion process. Using real cookie-based counter data, we identify model parameters, and demonstrate non-uniqueness of a solution.
