        <p>A new topology of a radio frequency switch mode generator based on a controlled current mode resonant inverter is proposed. We have analyzed the scheme and described its operating principles. It is shown that, in contrast to the classical bridge circuit of a current inverter, introducing two diodes makes it possible to eliminate overvoltages on bridge transistors in transient and steady-state operation. We have also shown that introducing an additional transistor switch into the circuit opens up the possibility of obtaining amplitude (AM) or frequency (FM) modulated oscillations in the load circuit. We have investigated the processes in the generator circuit on gallium-nitride (GaN) transistors by computer simulation. A method for generating AM oscillations based on pulse width modulation is described. We have analyzed the conditions for obtaining a given depth of AM and the required power of oscillations in the load. This switch mode generator is recommended for use in the radio frequency range (tens-hundreds megahertz) to form and amplify powerful modulated oscillations with extremely high efficiency.</p>
