      <abstract xml:lang="en">
        <p>This paper presents scalability examination of two open-source software tools for fire modeling (FireFOAM and FDS). We investigated acceleration and efficiency of parallel simulations depending on the number of processors used and workload distribution over the cluster nodes. It has been established that FireFOAM scalability becomes almost linear and efficiency approaches 80 % when computational mesh is sufficiently fine.</p>
