      <abstract xml:lang="en">
        <p>We describe algorithms of modelling multi-path channels, determining distance from the subscriber unit to the base station based on the measurement of received signal strength (RSS), optimal algorithms of estimation (Kalman filter) and algorithms of navigation. Influence of multi-path channel parameters on navigation characteristics is shown. An estimation of positioning accuracy with using optimal algorithm of estimation is take place.</p>
