        <p>An algorithm for image processing and image compression, using the methods of mathematical 3-D morphology that is one of the most progressive means of intelligent systems in image analysis, is considered. The main point of the algorithm is analysis of color information and marking out the object shape, using morphological techniques, as well as image slicing on subsets-layers, that can carry an important meaning, like regions and objects in cartography.</p>
