An open, modular architecture for a license usage accounting software system is presented. Accumulation of accounting data allows for a retrospective analysis as well as detecting statistical regularities. The proposed system also interfaces with job schedulers so that to minimize the risk of unsuccessful task launching due to the lack of required licenses.
