        <p>This paper proposes an approximate method for determining the sign of the number in the residue number systems. This method is based on fast approximate calculation of the relative magnitude of the number to the range of the system. Technical implementation of the proposed method, which is easy to implement. It is shown that the application of the proposed method significantly reduces the time to perform basic operations in the problem of residue number systems.</p>
