In this paper the necessity of solving the task of following the moving objects in video surveillance systems is being updated. For this purpose are suggested specially developed method and algorithms of defining the outlines’ borders of the object and of following procedure fulfillment. The bundled software, which puts into effect the suggested algorithms, is being described. The results of the analysis of their stability and primary approbation as part of the decision making system support during video monitoring of mobile objects are given.
