      <abstract xml:lang="en">
        <p>The paper suggests a solution to the problem of extracting of natural unstructured objects in a defined O  ∩ R3 domain. The criterion for extracting in the survey nodes is the principle of similarity of the curve segments characterizing each control and survey node. The paper makes use of different methods, including exhaustive search, a genetic algorithm, and Dynamic Time Warping (DTW). All research was performed in the MATLAB Environment. The suggested approach was applied to finding the boundaries of oil-saturated layers at a number of oilfields.</p>
